- Sensitive personal information, meaning your account login credentials, including a hashed password, and required winner taxpayer identification numbers collected outside the Site
Purposes for collection and use
- operate, secure, and provide the Lone Star Winners website (the “Site”)
- create and manage user accounts, including authentication and preferred language settings
- administer sweepstakes, record entries, select potential winners, verify eligibility, and document drawings and prize awards
- deliver account, order, sweepstakes, and customer service communications and verify telephone numbers through SMS when that feature becomes available
- process purchases, arrange merchandise delivery, and address refunds, chargebacks, and payment disputes
- provide support and respond to user requests
- prevent fraud, misuse, and security incidents
- measure visits to the Site and show and measure our advertisements on Facebook and Instagram through the Meta Pixel

We collect personal information through the Site and offline, including through mail-in entries and winner verification.
Retention
We retain each category of personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy. Where we cannot specify a fixed retention period, we determine that period using the criteria below. We determine retention by the record’s purpose and the period reasonably needed for that purpose and as required by applicable law. Account records are retained as needed to maintain your account and address security or account disputes. Purchase records are retained for order fulfillment, refunds, chargebacks, accounting, tax requirements, and related claims. Sweepstakes and mail-in records are retained for entry validation, winner verification, prize delivery, and resolution of disputes or regulatory inquiries. Winner and tax records are retained for required reporting, tax examinations, and related claims. We retain security logs and communications as needed to investigate incidents, resolve inquiries, and document those activities. Applicable legal requirements or pending claims may require longer retention of specific records. We retain records of California privacy requests and our responses for 24 months after our final response, unless applicable law requires longer retention. We use these records only to document and review our compliance with California privacy law. When personal data is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it. We may retain de-identified entry records to document administration without reasonably identifying an entrant. We maintain de-identified information in that form and do not attempt to reidentify it except to test the de-identification process.
Sale, sharing, and opt-out information
- We do not sell personal information for money. We share internet or network activity information and identifiers such as cookie identifiers with Meta Platforms, Inc. through the Meta Pixel for cross-context behavioral advertising. - We have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Sensitive personal information
- We collect account login credentials, including a hashed password, to authenticate access to your account. Required winner tax documents may include a Social Security number or other taxpayer identification number. We collect that information outside the Site for winner verification and tax reporting.
We use sensitive personal information only to provide the services you request and for purposes permitted by California law, including account security and legal compliance. We do not use it to infer characteristics about a consumer.
